DS4Skills at Digital Europe Programme Projects Meeting
DS4Skills coordinators DIGITALEUROPE participated in Digital Europe Programme (DEP) projects meeting, held in Luxembourg on March 17th and 18th. This event, co-organised by the European Commission, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), and LEADSx2030, brought together key players from across Europe to discuss the future of advanced digital skills.
Collaborative Discussions on Bridging the Digital Skills Gap
Representatives from numerous (Digital Europe Programme) DEP projects across Europe, alongside stakeholders from DG CNECT and HaDEA, participated in workshops and panels to share best practices, lessons learned, and discuss the sustainability of DEP projects. The meeting focused on finding ways to bridge the digital skills gap and strengthen Europe’s technological sovereignty and competitiveness.
New Digital Skills Academies
The European Commission also unveiled plans to launch new Digital Skills Academies in Quantum, AI, Virtual Worlds, and Semiconductors, alongside the existing Cybersecurity Skills Academy. These academies will play a crucial role in providing education and training programmes needed to build the digital skills capabilities required to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness on the global stage.
DS4Skills Empowering Europe's Workforce
As part of the DEP programme, DS4Skills aims to create collaboration opportunities and stay aligned with the broader goals of enhancing digital skills across Europe. By attending the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) projects meeting in Luxembourg, partners from DIGITALEUROPE contributed to key discussions, identifying potential collaboration opportunities with other projects and reinforcing the importance of a common European Data Space for Skills in driving Europe’s digital transformation.
