About Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland’s largest of its kind, educates around 18,000 degree students and 13,000 open UAS students in fields of Business, Culture, Health Care and Social Services, as well as Technology. Metropolia fosters innovation and practical solutions to real-world challenges. Its strategic intent is to be a bold reformer of expertise and an active builder of a sustainable future. Metropolia is also a partner of the U!REKA European University alliance, which consists of six full partners that cover over 123 000 students and 13 000 staff members. In addition, the alliance has over 20 associate partners.
What is their role in the DS4Skills project?
The University of Jyväskylä, Tampere University, and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences are co-orchestrating the Supporting Student Mobility and Lifelong Learning use case with CSC – IT Center for Science. The goal is to simplify the discovery of learning opportunities across European universities and automate the transfer of data via the European Skills Data Space, reducing manual work and improving data quality. This initiative will enhance mobility and lifelong learning, streamlining data handling for both students and staff.
